Another representative union in ISS, Industrial union DAD Draxlmaier Automotive Zrenjanin

INDUSTRIAL UNION DAD DRAXLMAIER D.O.O. ZRENJANIN PROVED ITS REPRESENTATIVENESS




In accordance with the agreement made on March 19th during the visit of ISS delegation and the colleague Klaus Priegnitz from the management of metal union of Germany IGM, on April the 7th 2009 the meeting of representatives of ISS and the management of DAD Draxlmaier d.o.o. was held, with the previously determined schedule. The meeting was attended by: Siegfried Angerer, general manager of the company, Karl-Heinz Eckert and legal representative of the company Živkica Miličić. Representatives of Industrial union were Aleksandar Todić, secretary of ISS, Zoran Eremić, regional commissioner of ISS for Banat, Livija Stojadinov, president of the Industrial union IS DAD Draxlmaier, Ksenija Eremić, vice-president of the Industrial union DAD Draxlmaier, Nataša Gavranić, member of the board of IS DAD Draxlmaier as well as legal representative of ISS Jovica Ostojin.
With the respect to the labour legislations of the Republic of Serbia, with the support of colleagues from IGM, who are the signatories of the International framework agreements which are related to DAD Draxlmaier as one of the suppliers for automotive industry with whom these agreements were signed (BMW, Mercedes, Audi VW, GM, PS etc), we managed to form Industrial union in the company DAD Draxlmaier Zrenjanin. Industrial union currently has 300 members of overall 1350 employees in DAD Draxlmaier.
In accordance to the law, the represenativeness of Industrial union in this company was proved with over 18% members from the overall number of employees (legal minimum is 15%). Employer then issued the decision of represenativeness of Industrial union DAD Draxlmaier so the conditions were fulfilled to start negotiations about Collective agreement.
During the long discussion held in polite atmosphere, several very important questions were posed for future work and functioning of the company and union organization. The employer has taken the responsibility to provide basic conditions for normal work and functioning of the union (smaller office, 40 work hours a month for union activities) until the final decisions are made. We have reached the following decisions:
- Not to tolerate any kind of discrimination
- The union has the right to use information boards of the company to issue important news for employees
- Union work will not violate normal functioning of the manufacturing.
- Employer and the union have agreed to begin with regular meeting where certain issues would be discussed, as well as the timely informing so that both sides could be prepared for the meetings.
- The forming of Board for security and work safety is to be formed, members of which would be employer and union representatives.
- New meeting is set for first half of June, and its topics would be the negotiations for signing the Collective agreement and the ways to lead the negotiations.
We consider this a good example of using MOS and the solidarity that IGM (and especially colleague Klaus Priegnitz) has unselfishly given us in forming this board of ISS.
Industrial union of Serbia will continue strengthening the union organization in Serbia, despite all the problems caused by world economic crisis.

Pursuant to the Article 228 section 2 of the Labour law (Official Gazette RS number 24/2005 and 61/2005) and the records of the Commission for determining the representativeness of the unions from 07 April 2009 I am reaching the following


DECISION

Industrial trade union – DAD DRAXMAIER AUTOMATIVE d.o.o. from Zrenjanin is enlisted in the Registry of trade unions in accordance to the decision reached by Ministry of Labour and social policy nr 110-00-282/2009-02 from 5th February 2009. under the number 21071 and on the day 07 April 2009 fulfills the condition of represenativeness.


EXPLANATION

The commision for determining the representativeness of the trade unions has determined the representativeness of the Industrial union Dad Draxlmeier automative d.o.o. and has made Records about it. On the basis of the records, I have made the decision, as in the slide.
ADVICE ON LEGAL REMEDY: Against this Decision, the dissatisfied party has the right to bring lawsuit to the competent court within the legal time limit.
